Weekly Photo Challenge: Grid
These are bits as found in an antique sewing box that I won at a thrift shop today. There is a removable tray that is a grid of boxes and spaces, pins and cushions. Based on the advertising and projects found in the box the last time someone used this box was 1927. Spindles, spools, pins and pin cushions. Locks, keys (but not for the sewing box) buttons, hoods and needles. A true treasure for the sewers.
This is an Ivory Pin cushion with a small thread holder. ![]()
A sport cap and scarf pattern.
All of the threads are silk.
The Letters are to placed on the garment and embroidered so it is perfect.

This little creek is clear, cold and deep! He didn’t even touch bottom so over 6ft.
