Recycled manhole covers for some abstract art on the old city street.
Eons ago this used to be very busy bus stop and the city tore is up as it brought unfavorable attention or some such thing.. For the life of me I don’t want to understand that sitting below the great columns upon the high ledge was such a big deal – it was a great vantage point for many thing especially finding our bus in a busy crowd!. ![]()
Some of the walkway in front of the bank was granite so the city put the stone aside, powder coated the old man holes and with some creative
arrangement came up
with art that is recycled and usable. ![]()

Another Tax season near completion.
Done. Well almost. Tax returns for the year 2013 and of course, a few stragglers. My count is 190. For the three of us it is a lot of work – me, myself and I. If you break it down that way it is easier to manage. Really!
It is not that doing taxes is hard – there can be a lot to remember especially in the year of change. That is when you should see a professional.
Needless to say that my sewing projects were put on hold and the mending is piling up.
’I’ was able to source some cheap material from value village, one is a light mauve duck – 7.5 meters for 4$. Can’t go wrong at that price. I have a few ideas for it but first I need a skirt. My old favorites are just that –old. They will work as lining and interlinings but not much else.
More to come – the sewing is calling!

Ah the ignoble slug undulating in an attempt to reach the ground safely. This critter and a few others of his kind ended up on the Top of the gazebo cover in the storm of the night before.
Having never seen a slug in such an attempt of a slime rope descent I had to capture this moment with the lens.
His downward undulation destination was never determined and it it is equally probable that it ended in the belly of a bird.
