This beauty was being beset by the crows. I suspect that he was too close and they wanted to keep him away from their nests. He found refuge in the trees in my back yard and I managed to get some good photos.

As I pressed the shutter on the camera, the Owl heard something behind him and before the shutter could release, his head turned. Impressive
Just found out this a Barred Owl and common to the island.



Hi Cathy – the pictures are beautiful – lucky you for being able to see the owl – I have looked many times for the owl who lives down at Dallas Road – but I have never been able to find him.
