a golden start to this day – stay safe and stay well
Day 101 - day 103 of the pandemic lockdown in Canada. Each of the 101 photos since I started this were taken on the morning that the photo was posted. It was a way to get me out of the house each day and a wonderful way to share the magic of living on the West Coast of Canada. I am very lucky to live here.
The great irony was that I was too poor to continue to afford to live in the city, Victoria. So I found this little place that looked very broken and needed a lot of TLC. So, TLC we gave it and made for ourselves a very nice home. Then this virus hit the world and everyone needed to distance. We are set, each unit has built in social distancing. I often tell newcomers here that it is like living in a park and you know all the players! They laugh and bring joy to our little community.
Though I admit that I sometimes let the 90 year old up the way get a bit close if I am not careful - the walker is a bit of misnomer as she is speedier that she look, quite too in her new berks to boot. She doesn't wander far and is very much alone with this pandemic. So these transgressions are passed over as no harm, no foul.
So, no travelers to share in our wonderful spaces here, yet the lens of photography gifts us with the far away places that we can now travel to with a photo and imagination. The cost is right, the environment comfy and only the sharing of familial germs.
Stay safe and stay well. Hope springs forward with each morning light.
So poetically phrased, so joyful to read! I’m equally grateful to find myself “confined” within the bounty of this seaside community, which has melted my heart into puddles of awe.
I love seeing your photos, and it was nice to have more to read in this post.
Never underestimate a 90 year old – they are always more than they first appear 😊
I never try to underestimate anyone, the one mentioned is very quiet which itself is a feat! Thank you for letting me know that you find my photos enjoyable. I have been more comfortable dealing with numbers than with words and can be somewhat shy when it comes to writing. Again, thanks for looking 🙂
Geschichten mitten aus dem Leben; über Momente die uns prägen, Freude, Schmerz, Hoffnung und Schicksal dem wir täglich begegnen. Ein kleiner Blick ins Innere, ein Blick hinter die Tür.

Thank you for the lovely comment. I should have been a poet but it wasn’t in the cards 🙂
