
I was thinking this morning of our local raptors, not the basketball team but the eagles, falcons and osprey that make the basin home. They rely on their sight to eat and it has been very hard to see these last days.
Meteorologists are saying that this smoke will blow away – lets hope as I am missing the blue of the sky as are all that reside here on the west coast. And lest us hope the fires on the west coast are also laid to rest.
I hadn’t thought about the birds’ eyesight being compromised; so true! And tiny lungs everywhere, trying to fight off the soot…. 😦

Oh dear, I wouldn’t have thought of that. I hope the meteorologists are right and it clears quickly.

we hoped too but no joy there, the smoke continues and will most likely do so until the fires are reduce in size in California, Oregon and Washington. The US west coast is burning, regardless of the causes, and the effects will be felt for a long time. I wish them all well and lots of rain!
