the basin – day 1095 – 3 years on

3 years ago today, I started the photos of the basin. Canada had 2 days earlier had gone into lockdown at the start of this pandemic. I started taking the photos of the basin to help my mental health during this unprecedent time. I was and am, in deep mourning for the unexpected death of my daughter Eryn. She, like so many that followed, died when her lungs filled with fluids and could no longer get the oxygen needed for her life, pneumonia is her official cause of death.

In this sharing of my daily photos, I found a simple strength in this task. It was and is very healing. Walking to the beach in the sun, rain, snow and winds brought me focus on each day as a new day. I hope you find a strength of the same healings somewhere in your world, as our worlds and are lives are fraught with all kinds of unease and small moments of otherwise.

Thank you so much for dropping by from time to time. It is nice to share even such a small task. And lastly, remember, please that kindness always matters. It can be the light of our days!
