the basin – another snow day

An optical illusion, no, the boat is not at our shore but in the middle of the basin, the optics bring it closer that it really is. A cool feature of living here on the Sooke Basin.

    • I am so sorry to hear that the drought is tightening it’s hold on the continent. This snow and rain, they are mixed, are very much needed as we are on the verge of a drought too. When I was young, the winter rains would start in Oct and last till Feb, now not so much. Cold and snow with sun filled days with not much water for a rain forest. I was thinking the other day that our planet too has a virus and some of the symptoms are cold with chills and hot fevers. Stay safe.
      An old trick to conserve water is to add a brick or two ( large rocks that will not move will work too) into the toilet tank and when flushed, it will do the same work using less water. It is a little saving and any saving is good.
